SHIP ABASEMENT, A SOLOQUY:
Wilt thou supreme, Jehovah condescend
To be my guide, my father, and my friend?
Dare I, self conscious once persume to claim,
Or hope, a refuge in thy sacred name?
. . . [20 lies follow, then]
There, with the heav'nly host, my voice I'll raise
To sing thy wonders, and exalt thy praise.
